2026 Extension Master Gardener Scholarship

The Extension Master GardenerSM Volunteer Association of Davidson County is offering a $1,000 non-renewable scholarship that will be awarded to a student in April 2026 for the 2026-2027 academic year. The scholarship will be awarded in April 2026.

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must:
  • Be current high school seniors residing in Davidson County and attending a public, private, or homeschool within Davidson County.
  • Plan to attend an institution of higher education and intend to pursue a degree in horticulture, agriculture, or any related environmental field.
  • Have a minimum unweighted GPA of 2.50

Application requirementsAll applicants must submit the following materials:
  • Completed Application Form
  • Personal Essay: A 250–500 word essay addressing the prompt below.
  • Official Transcript: A current and valid high school transcript.

Describe your interest in horticulture or a related environmental field, your career goals, and how you intend to make a positive impact.

Submission deadline

Applications must be delivered in person or postmarked by Friday, March 6, 2026.
