Join classroom educators, nonformal educators, and natural resource professionals as we explore activities in Project Learning Tree's flagship K-8 guide, Explore Your Environment and the brand new Forests, Water, and People activity bundle for grade 9-10! Every participant will leave the workshop with a copy of both resources... a $55 value! Both resources include PLT's easy to follow multidisciplinary activities that connect students to nature and increase young people’s awareness and knowledge about their environment. Activities in the Explore Your Environment guide are correlated to NC standards in science and social studies. This workshop qualifies for Criteria I or II in the EE Certification Program (K-12).
The PLT activity guides are provided free of charge to participants through support from the NC Forestry Association. If the cost of this workshop is a barrier for you, please reach out to the the NC PLT Coordinator, Renee Strnad, at renee_strnad@ncsu.edu.
